In 1936, Governor of Michigan Frank Fitzgerald declared April 18th Champions’ Day to celebrate national success by Detroit sports teams and homegrown Detroit athletes.
Champions’ Week is the 3rd annual week of events celebrating Detroit through social and athletic events that support local businesses and organizations. Last year we averaged 80 people at each event, and this year we aim to keep growing.
